Son preguntas que la gente se plantea a diario. Pues bien, es cierto que cuidarse y el entrenamiento deportivo son claves importantes para responder a estas preguntas, pero no lo son todo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El potencial de la gen\u00e9tica es tal que a d\u00eda de hoy no podemos responder a todas las preguntas que se nos pasan por la cabeza, pero s\u00ed sabemos que hay numerosos <a href=\"https:\/\/adntro.com\/blog\/aprende-genetica\/que-son-los-snps\/\">SNPs<\/a> (variaciones gen\u00e9ticas) asociados con la obesidad. El gen m\u00e1s estudiado se llama FTO y se ha visto que a pesar de tener una alta predisposici\u00f3n a padecer obesidad, se puede disminuir el \u00edndice de masa corporal realizando ejercicio intenso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lo mismo ocurre cuando nos vamos al mundo del deporte. El entrenamiento duro es fundamental, pero hay personas a las que le resulta m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil llevar a cabo ciertos deportes como son los deportes de fuerza, de velocidad, de resistencia&#8230; Son numerosos los estudios realizados al respecto en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, pero hay ciertos hallazgos que conocemos desde hace tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"513\" height=\"362\" src=\"http:\/\/adntro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image.png\" alt=\"relaci\u00f3n entre deporte y gen\u00e9tica\" class=\"wp-image-3420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adntro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image.png 513w, https:\/\/adntro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image-300x212.png 300w, https:\/\/adntro.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/image-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 513px) 100vw, 513px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Una de las variantes gen\u00e9ticas asociadas a la resistencia se descubri\u00f3 en 1990 cuando intentaban explicar las bases gen\u00e9ticas de la distrofia muscular (grupo de enfermedades que causan debilidad y degeneraci\u00f3n progresiva de los m\u00fasculos esquel\u00e9ticos). M\u00e1s adelante, comprobando genotipos (\u201cletras\u201d del ADN) entre personas enfermas y sanas descubrieron que, sorprendentemente, ciertas personas sanas presentaban el genotipo que parec\u00eda estar asociado a la distrofia muscular. Fue entonces cuando decidieron realizar el estudio opuesto: estudiar el genotipo de personas atl\u00e9ticas. Tras diversos estudios gen\u00e9ticos se vio la implicaci\u00f3n de este gen en el m\u00fasculo esquel\u00e9tico, asociando la variante gen\u00e9tica a una mayor resistencia y capacidad de recuperaci\u00f3n.
